Glen Eira Leisure's Active Communities Program starts Monday 18 November and offers four weeks of FREE group fitness classes suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Try something new, meet people, or get together with your friends and family for some fitness fun!

Our Active Communities Program offers FREE group fitness classes around Glen Eira. Join us for Parents and Bubs classes at Murrumbeena Park, Bollywood Dance classes at Carnegie Library or Yoga and Meditation at Princes Park.

Gentle Yoga

This gentle and inclusive class introduces basic yoga poses, focusing on body alignment, breath, strength, flexibility, and balance to boost vitality and energy levels. Release physical, emotional and mental tension through yoga and meditation in a supportive environment.

Fridays at 8.25am
Class duration is 45 minutes

 

Bollywood Dance/ Zumba 

Our Indian-inspired dance class, Masala Bhangra, delivers Bollywood and more! In every class we get a little cheeky and flirty using moves influenced by Bollywood movies, and we also include strong and energetic moves inspired by Bhangra folk dance from the Punjab region of India. The hypnotic beat of the music carries you through the choreography, and you’ll feel as if you’re on the set of a Bollywood movie!

Wednesdays at 6pm
Class duration is 45 minutes

 

Parents and Bubs Yoga

A fun class designed for parents with babies from birth to crawling age. Explore gentle yoga poses while bonding with your baby in a supportive environment. This low-impact workout offers a safe and social space for new parents to return to exercise and connect with other new parents.

Tuesday and Fridays at 12pm
Class duration is 45 minutes

Core

A class designed to target your mid-section with a range of fun and challenging functional strength exercises, muscle toning and stability movements.
