CALD Adult Swimming Lessons

Do you want to feel comfortable and confident in the water?

Learn to swim at GESAC with our FREE swimming lesson program for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) adults.

Swimming is an important life skill that unlocks a lifetime of safety and fun.

Our CALD Adult Swimming Lesson program teaches essential water safety skills and basic swimming strokes so you can feel comfortable and confident around water.

What is included in the program?

You will participate in one 30-minute swimming lesson every week for 5 weeks with one of our friendly, expert swimming teachers.

Lessons are limited to 4 students so the teacher can give each student maximum attention and support.

You will also have free access to GESAC swimming pools throughout the program, allowing you to visit the pool any day, any time, to practice between lessons.

Who can join?

This program is for all Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) adults who are not confident swimmers and who have not had swimming lessons before.

Please note: Individuals with a GEL membership are unable to enrol in this program, as it is designed to assist those without access.

Where are the lessons?

Lessons are held at GESAC in the 25-metre pool. You will be able to stand comfortably in the water throughout the lesson.

GESAC (Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre) is located at 200 East Boundary Road, Bentleigh East, 3165.
