    Easing of restrictions - what it means for Glen Eira Leisure

    GESAC GYM, GROUP FITNESS AND POOLS RE-OPEN
    WITH LESS RESTRICTIONS

    We are very excited to share with you our plans for next week with the easing of restrictions by the Victorian State Government on Sunday.

    We are significantly increasing our programs and services available for members and guests from Monday 23 November. This includes:

    • Increased venue and pool capacity. This means bookings are no longer required to access the gym and aquatic facilities and the leisure pool and aqua play lanes will reopen for recreational swimming. You will be able to enjoy longer swims, access the pools before or after a gym session and attend more often. See our opening hours here to plan your next visit.
    • Prior to entering the facility there will be a digital ‘COVID-19 Check-in’ to complete for each visit.  You can access the form here or via a QR code located at the entrance.  It is very important to complete your ‘COVID-19 Check-in’ for the health and safety of everyone. Staff will be available at the entrance to assist and monitor visitor check-ins. 
       
    • More group fitness classes will be available including Aqua Aerobics. Group Fitness Classes will continue online bookings through booking links.  See our timetables and make a booking here. (Bookings open Sunday 22 November at 5pm)
       
    • Members will have free access to the facilities and services until Monday 30 November. Detail are being finalised on membership re-activation from 30 November. On arrival please scan in at the gates or Level 1 door with your membership band or card to gain access.  
       
    • For casual visits EFTPOS payment services will be available at reception. No cash will be accepted.

    We are looking forward to connecting with everyone in our GEL community again.

    MEMBERSHIPS

    • Memberships are reactivating – if you were on COVID-19 membership suspension, your membership will reactivate as of Monday 23 November
    • Access will be FREE of charge for members until November 30

    GYM

    • NO BOOKINGS required
    • Capacity limits apply
    • Changerooms available
    • Showers and lockers available

    GROUP FITNESS

    • All group fitness classes must be booked online through Trybookings. Bookings will open 3 days in advance (Initial bookings open Sunday 22 November at 5pm)
    • All group fitness programs will run for 45min

    AQUATICS

    • No bookings required
    • Outdoor 50m pool capacity increases to 80
    • Indoor 25m pool capacity increases to 40
    • Wellness pool capacity increase to 30
    • Leisure pool opens with a capacity of 40
    • Change rooms capacity of 20
    • Showers and lockers available

    FACILITY POLICIES

    • All patrons will enter the facility via the main GESAC entry.
    • All adults are required to complete the COVID check-in before entry via QR code or link
    • QR codes will be placed throughout the carpark at GESAC and at the entrance of the facilities. Please complete your form prior to entering the building.
    • Masks must be worn when not doing strenuous activity
