    50m Pool resurfacing works

    The outdoor pool at GESAC will close for these repairs from 17 June 2021 until 26 July 2021. All other aquatic facilities will be open in the indoor pool hall to accommodate our 50 metre pool swimmers as much as possible.

     

    The 50 metre outdoor pool at GESAC is showing signs of ageing, leading to colour leaching into the water and making it unsafe, as it is difficult for lifeguards to see adequately.

    We need to address this safety issue and resurface the pool shell as soon as possible. Due to this resurfacing, the outdoor pool at GESAC will close for these repairs from 17 June 2021 until 26 July 2021. All other aquatic facilities will be open in the indoor pool hall to accommodate our 50 metre pool swimmers as much as possible.

    In light of recent COVID restrictions, we are working swiftly to bring these works forward to reduce the impact on our members and guests, as we realise this is a difficult time for you all.

    During the pool closure, members will be offered free membership suspension and ‘off peak’ rates will be charged for casual visitors using the aquatic space once we have reopened from the latest restrictions.
